A reference sheet records decisions, not guesses
Use drawings or images you can share with your artist. The tool organizes supplied artwork and text. It does not generate new views or guarantee that an AI image keeps the same face.
Original example: Mara at the harbor
- Fixed traits
- Short dark hair, a notch in her left eyebrow, right-handed.
- Allowed changes
- Her wet hair lies flat in the harbor scene.
- Costume
- Teal raincoat, brass buttons, dark boots. The coat stays on until chapter 2.
- Props
- She takes a lantern in her right hand when she enters the tower.
- Chapter notes
- Chapter 1: no injuries. Chapter 2: the right sleeve tears on the door.
- Unresolved
- Confirm the lantern color with the artist.

PNG combines your image and notes into one tall sheet. Long notes may need Print or PDF instead. Project JSON includes the image and restores editable fields. Keep that file private if it contains private artwork.
Images must be PNG, JPEG or WebP under 5 MB. Fields allow 10,000 characters each. Work stays in page memory until you export it.
Next, write a scene with this character. Mark uncertain details as unresolved before the artist begins.
Common questions
Does it create a character reference image?
No. Supply your own image and notes. It does not invent views or guarantee character consistency in generated art.
Can I edit the sheet later?
Yes. Export project JSON and import it later. A PNG or PDF is a flattened output and cannot restore the editable fields.
Where does my reference image go?
It stays in your browser. The exported project contains the image. Store that file somewhere appropriate for your artwork.
